With help from one other person, pushed a helicopter off a plane. Bent a metal gate by slamming someone's head into it. Smashed someone's head into a urinal, breaking it. Potato: And now leading Fourth Echelon, Sam has shown ultimate skill in his field, and being the best a human can be. Potato: So naturally, Sam and Grim, his reverse aging lady friend and comms support, take down the now corrupt Third Echelon, forming Fourth Echelon. Potato: But surprise, Sarah was actually alive the whole time! They just needed Sam to expose a mole in Third Echelon. Tsubori: And after retiring again, Sam finds out that Sarah's death was plotted, and goes crazy on the people he thinks are responsible. Potato: But with a little bit of killing his best friend, he made it out of the mission fine, saving three major cities from being nuked by red mercury. Tsubori: Unable to deal with her death well, Sam went into what was described as the most dangerous mission of his career. Tsubori: And so, over the next three years, Sam was involved in numerous operations in the Splinter Cell program, even having to save his kidnapped daughter, and later find out that she was killed by a drunk driver. By this point she was around 20, so she'd be fine. Potato: Now, mind you, he wasn't ditching Sarah or anything. After already having retired, Sam was soon sought out to join an elite operations force for the Third Echelon initiative, known as the Splinter Cell program. Tsubori: He moved back to the US, and took up a more bureaucratic job in the CIA. Potato: Leaving him the sole guardian for Sarah, Sam surprisingly enough decided to start dad-ing. Tsubori: Which went excellently for him for about ten more years, until he found out that Regan had died of ovarian cancer. Potato: Deciding to pour himself into work extra hard, he went into operations in Afghanistan, East Germany, and the Soviet satellites in the years leading up to the collapse of the USSR. Tsubori: Unfortunately being the super spy he is led to a lot of not being there, and soon enough, Sam was left Divorced, Regan taking Sarah. Potato: The daughter was named Sarah, and so that she'd have parents, Regan and Sam got married. Tsubori: Well, some of his story revolves around his daughter, so kinda? Potato: Do we really have to get into his love life? Tsubori: And while in Georgia, he met Regan Burns, and after what I assume to be some classic Bond style pickup lines, Regan ended up pregnant. What's important is that he was soon following right in dad's footsteps, working for the CIA, as well as excelling as a Navy SEAL. Potato: But his early life really isn't that important. Beyond that, we know quite little of Sam's early life. Tsubori: Anyway, Sam's parents soon died, and he went off to a military boarding school. Potato: For a video game protagonist? He's about fit to hand out swords in caves or mentor main characters.
His father was in the CIA and was doing missions in Moscow during the cold war. Tsubori: Born in Maryland, USA, Sam Fisher had a somewhat less ideal family situation to start out. Potato: And it's our jobs to analyse their weapons, armor and skills the find out who would win a death battle. Tsu: He's Sebi the potato, and I'm Tsubori. Ninjas of the modern age, capable of going into enemy territory alone, and being the only living thing left if needed.
